n the summer Snowmass is alive with wildlife and offers many great ways to enjoy the pristine wilderness. Hiking trails are abounding, as well as biking and horseback riding. You can even take your bike down the ski mountain for those extreme minded people. If the leisurely activity of Golf seems fun, there are multiple courses. During the summer there are also many activities taking place. Snowmass Mountain is home to its own concert series. Snowmass really is a fun place to be in the summer days.

Summer Activities

Road & Mountain Biking

The biking in the Roaring Fork Valley is world Class. Snowmass and Aspen are filled with great road and mountain bike rides. In Glenwood, the Canyon is a popular road ride and the FlatTops offer fantastic, but challenging mountain biking. Snowmass and Aspen have great paved trails throughout town as well as being a starting point for Independence Pass. The mountain bike rides in Snowmass and Aspen are so plentiful, it would take several summers just to scratch the surface. The best source of information on rides is the outdoor stores in the Valley. Most of these shops offer bike rentals and are staffed by locals who know the terrain as well as anyone.
